First Aid TPOT

A research team led by Professor Tony Jorm at the Centre for Youth Mental Health, The University of Melbourne is conducting a longitudinal study to assess whether parents who are trained in physical or mental health first aid respond differently to teenagers who develop physical or mental health problems.
One parent and one teenager (aged between 12-15 years) from each family in Victoria is invited to participate, with a view to recruiting 2,000 participants. Parents will receive training at no cost to them in either a 14-hour Youth Mental Health First Aid Course or a 15-hour Red Cross First Aid course.
